Prenatal Care…what is it and why is it so important?

Prenatal care is the medical care you get during your pregnancy. At each prenatal care visit, your health care provider checks on you and your growing baby. It’s extremely important to go to all your prenatal care checkups, even if you’re feeling fine because it assures that your baby is feeling good too.

First things first, you need to schedule your first prenatal care checkup as soon as you think you’re pregnant. Don’t wait, the earlier you can get in to see your doctor the better for your own health and your new baby.
